Cambridge County Council (Conservative controlled 2017-2021): Net Zero Cambridgeshire, (October 2019

  • Location: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

  • Purpose: The report was compiled by the University of Cambridge and the County Council to provide an emissions baseline to track progress in emission cuts. It sets out how Cambridgeshire and Peterborough can reduce their net emissions to zero across domestic homes, transport, agriculture, commercial, and industrial services and land use.

  • Description: The report sets out each sector's contribution to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s carbon emissions. The report shows how emissions have already declined and requirements for future emissions reductions and offsetting obligations.

  • Conservative councillor/ council lead: Net Zero Cambridgeshire, October 2019 was presented by then Chairman of the Commercial and Investment Committee, Cllr Joshua Schumann.
