Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council: Holland Park Ecology Centre

  • Purpose: Access to nature in urban areas can be limited, so providing dedicated places to help connect people to the environment is important. The centre serves as an environmental education resource for schools and residents to access and learn about the natural environment. The centre also functions as an event space for residents.

  • Description: Set in Holland Park, the ecology centre is a purpose-built building serving as the base for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Ecology Service. From there they conduct courses and information sessions on ecology and the environment, and provide resources for further learning.

  • Conservative councillor/council lead: Cllr Roberto Weeden-Sanz, vice chair of environment select committee.
