Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Purpose: The council wants to encourage walking and cycling to ease congestion, reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and improve resident’s health and wellbeing.
Description: The council formed a Cycling Policy Development Panel in 2019 which included councillors and representatives from a number of cycle advocacy and public health groups (e.g. Sustrans and Public Health England), which then identified and consulted on several potential cycle schemes across the county.
