Warwickshire County Council: Sustainable Warwickshire Podcast

  • Location: Warwickshire County Council 

  • Purpose: The council intends to spread awareness on climate change and solutions through the Sustainable Warwickshire podcast. The council has launched multiple schemes such as the Sustainable Futures Strategy to decarbonise, increase economic growth and increase biodiversity. This podcast spreads awareness on the challenges faced, available solutions and what is being done in the local area. 

  • Description: The Sustainable Warwickshire Podcast covers council and community initiatives that seek to decarbonise the area and boost biodiversity. A senior climate officer hosts the episodes and interviews individuals who are running sustainability initiatives to help the community. The episodes are recorded on Microsoft Teams, edited and then posted on platforms such as Spotify. 

  • Funding: The podcast is funded through sponsorship, with the amount received dependent on the number of listeners.
